Wallace BURGESS Obituary

BURGESS, Wallace Roy (Wally). Passed away peacefully in his 97th year. Loved Father and Father in law of Yvonne and Vernon, Sandra and Lance, Marilyn and Charles, Lorraine and the late Alistair, Annette and Pete,Toni and Nigel. Treasured Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Special thanks to the Staff at Cantabria for their love and care of Wally. Family and close friends are invited to a celebration of Wally's life at St David Presbyterian Church, Reeve Road Owhata, Rotorua on Wednesday, 26 October at 1:30pm.

To Wally's family, deepest condolences. I first met him when I lived in Urenui (nth Taranaki). He and my son's father were good friends and with others rode motorbikes on many journeys. About 15 years later as I walked out of St Johns he was waiting at the door for his family. A great albeit quick catch up, I learned that I was at Rotorua Girls High with two of his daughters Sandra and Yvonne. Small world.
An awesome gentleman.
