Visaka AMARASINGHE Obituary

AMARASINGHE, Visaka Seneviratna Kumarihamy (nee Amunugama). passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday 12th November, 2022. Loved wife of her late husband Dr Norman Amarasinghe, beloved mother of Yvonne, Romani, Rodney, Sepalika and Piyali, and mother-in-law of Rohan, Gayani, Joe and Dean. Proud grandmother of Lishan, Sumangali, Manesh, Ranmalie, Carl, Petra, Amara, Sanath, Paige, Indika, Jade and Gothami, and caring great-grandmother of Udula, Danuja, Hiruja, Thenuja, Hiruni, Onali and Aruni. Survived by her brother Brian Amunugama and predeceased by her siblings Soma, Wilfred, Rani, Indrani and Stanley. A Celebration of Visaka's Life will be held on Wednesday 16th November, 1.00pm - 2.00pm at Manukau Memorial Gardens, 361 Puhinui Road, Wiri, Auckland 2025. Friends and family are also invited to come and pay their respects to Visaka at her home on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th November.
