Verna PALMER Obituary
PALMER, Verna Ethel (nee Harrison). Passed away peacefully at Hilda Ross Retirement Village on 28th January 2026, aged 90. A wonderful life lived full of travel adventures and special family times. Loved wife of the late Milton. Precious mum to Vivianne, Ivan, Wayne and Raewyn. Much loved mother-in-law to Bruce F, Hanneke, Julia and Bruce W. Treasured Nana to David, Luke, Robert and Dylan. And NanNan to Caleb, Emily, Madison, Owen, Malachi, Faith, Oakley and Myles. Many thanks for the excellent care given by the staff at Hilda Ross. Much appreciated by our family. A celebration of life will be held at Woodside Estate, 130-132 Woodside Road, RD4, Matangi, Hamilton on Thursday 5th February at 1pm. Please rsvp by Monday 2nd February for catering purposes. Sincere condolences to Raewyn and Bruce and the rest of the family on the passing of your precious Mum.
Verna coached junior badminton at the Y M C A on the North Shore and I was lucky enough to be her helper. Following on have been fortunate to spend lots of fun times with Raewyn over the years.
