TUWHARE, Valerie Anne. (Née Cooksley) Val, also known as Shafia, passed peacefully at home, aged 69. Born on March 10, 1955, in Otorohanga, she was the daughter of Marie and Jim Cooksley. Mother of Hana and Arapeta and Grandmother of Nukumamao. Val dedicated her life to healing and caring for people. A service to celebrate Val's life will be held at 11 am Saturday 31 August, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre / Tatai Hono, 71 Khyber Pass Road Grafton, Auckland. The whanau welcome friends to arrive at 10 am to pay their last respects.Contact: 0273198083

Ah so sad.
My condolences to Hana, Arapeta and Whanau Val was loved by all who knew her. I was lucky to have known Val since we were kids bringing in the cows and doing farm work with Jim and Marie.
I will remember Val with love
