Valerie MCLISKY Obituary

MCLISKY, Valerie Florence (Val). 20 August 1940 - 28 July 2022. On 28 July, 2022, died unexpectedly at home, in Northwood, Christchurch. Much loved and greatly missed wife of the late Terry, mother of Justine, Fraser, and Cameron, mother-in-law of Lisa, Adrienne, and Shaz. Beloved Nanny of Ben, James, Lachie, Liam, Shreya, and Anise. Val practised as a nurse and midwife in her homeland of Australia, then Auckland and Christchurch. A highly valued member of her community, including as a long-time volunteer at the Christchurch Transitional Cathedral and at Burwood Hospital. Always immaculately turned out, she loved gardening, reading, animals, history, and her family and wide circle of friends. A private family cremation will be held. A celebration of Val's life is to follow, with further details to come. In lieu of flowers, please raise a glass of nice wine in her memory.
