Valerie COTTLE Obituary

COTTLE, Valerie Joy. Sunrise 28 September 1937 Sunset 23 May 2025 Aged 87 years. Loving Mother and Mother in Law to Garry, Brent and Jude, and Vicki and Paul. Loving Nana and G Nan to her 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Now in the loving arms of her late Husband Alexander (Alec) You were always so loving, kind and encouraging but what will stay with us is your strength as a Woman, Wife, Mother and Friend to so many. Our hearts are broken but our love for you will always be there. It was an honour to have you in all of our lives. In accordance with Valerie's wishes a private service will be held.

Fairly sure that Val and Alec lived a few doors along from us in Wallath Road, Penrose in the 1950's or 1960's. She died within 4 days of my wife Margaret Eccles (nee Faithfull). Val and her, I think, were childhood friends in the days of the Te Papapa Brethren church. And later Val and Alec worshipped with us at Merrilands Baptist Church. Good memories.
