To Vic and all the family, Just want to share memories of my last visit to Val
in Thames Hospital on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 31st. She was a bit sleepy in bed but really it was one of her brighter times. She has always loved to sing but more than once she just broke into song "Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul. Worship His Holy Name.................Whatever my lot, whatever lies before me. Let me be singing till the evening comes! What a testimony. Later when I mentioned that my son David was quite unwell, she immediately started to pray for him. Val has had short memory loss for some time but when I asked if she remembered Doreen from Waharoa, who is in care in my village at Manukau, she said, "Yes, Doreen Harris. That memory goes back to late forties to early fifties. I hadn't mentioned her maiden name because I couldn't remember it!! What a wonderful brain God has given us. We just have trouble finding what we want when we want it. It was such a precious time together 11 days before she went to be with the Lord. "In His presence is fulness of joy." Psalm 16:11
