Hi Val's family. It is only recently I heard of Val's passing. I remember as a child, with my family, Jacksons and many others, including the Massons, having parties at the Waitakere house. The Mc Cahon's also lived nearby. I and my brother Russell, who is currently unwell, and Francis, who is also unwell, living in Napier, with her daughter Kirsty, grew up with these memories, albeit faulty. Val was, to me, a very gentle soul. I wonder if there are any photos of the house and your tribe back then I could peruse as I am writing and painting a fictional work based around the late 50's and 60's. My parents, Kase and shirley Jackson died some years ago, so cannot quiz them obviously. I would like to hear from you either way. Warmth Paul Jackson

My sincere condolences to Van and Tony on your loss. Our mothers were very good friends whilst I was young and living in Park Road. I have very fond memories of those days. It was such a nice surprise to see Val and meet you both at John Lusk´s ceremony. A page has turned. All my love, Sarah
