Uttley JOLLY Obituary

Just sadly learnt of Ned's passing. I flatted with him in Dunedin, he encouraged me to apply for my first teaching position in Te Aroha but as we both moved around the country we unfortunately lost contact, It now appears we were in the same area. Condolences to his family and friends.

Mr Jolly was my PE teacher at Wairarapa College many years ago. He was kind, patient and always set an example by doing the tasks with the class. I have many great memories of him as a rugby coach and great man.

So sad to read Ned has died. Peter enjoyed running the hills with Ned and the other Masterton harriers all those years ago and often spoke of Ned's passion for stretching.
