Trevor is missed for his quick sense of
humor, and his dedication to helping others through his profession as a chiropractor, his sense of being a decent human being and always striving to do the right thing in life by his family and people in general. He was born in Auckland and spent most of his early life from the age of 3-12 in Hawaii with his
mother, step father, Bill McDonough and two half sisters, Tania and Lara. His closest friends from when he was four years old were Arnie and Eric Lamberg who were neighbours in Lanikai, Kailua. He returned to New Zealand at the age of 12 and lived with his biological father Brian Stone while attending Auckland Grammar School. He later returned to Hawaii snd attended Windward Community College in preparation for "Life Chiropractic College"in Oakland California. After he graduated he came back to Hawaii and got married. He and his wife Lizette moved to Pahrump, Nevada with their three children Mahlon (Lizette's son by a previous marriage) Siena their first daughter and Tahi. They later had another child while in Pahrump, named Taimana. Trevor's health was fragile all through these years and first surfaced during Chiropractic College. He weathered it through as best he could and his first cousin Susan Hawes came to New Zealand from Australia and donated a kidney which enabled him to live 9 years longer that the doctors predicted. Trevor doted on his children and wanted more than anything to live long enough for them to be self sufficient and self sustaining, helping them repeatedly with their homework and always encouraging them to make good choices. Some of the fun memories are of how well Trevor could perform in different ways. He was a great speaker when he would give his chiropractic lectures, he could do a mean haka as good as anyone, was proud of his Maori heritage and although he seldom let anyone hear, he had a fabulous voice, especially when he sang certain country songs emulating some of the best performers. During his teen years when he would go to the discos with his mates in Hawaii, he was an incredible dancer and often sought after by girls to dance with them. His ability at sports was well above average and he easily adapted to windsurfing during the Kailua days, a tough to beat ping pong component, loved fishing, was a fabulous cook, and amazing worth ethic. Trevor would turn up at the Auckland Chiropractic College where he was on the faculty when he could barely make it through the day due to his failing condition and sometimes was told to go home. Trevor would have died with his boots on, having been given the chance. Sadly missed and much loved is our Trevor.
