Very sad to hear about Trevor´s death.
A kind man and it was a real treat to visit his home studio in Otumoetai. An original creative who inspired others.

Our thoughts are with Cherry and all the family at this time. Trevor was talented, kind and funny and the world was all the better with him passing through. Arohanui xo

Hi Cherry and family,
I was so sorry and sad to here of Trevor's death.
I got to know Trevor through his long time friendship and support of Roger Batt. Through their friendship I saw how much Trevor meant to Roger, who had many of Trevor's artworks on his walls.
Roger enjoyed the visits from Trevor and the trips that I accompanied Roger to visit Trevor.

For those of us at Scholastic NZ, Trevor is best known for his hilarious embodiment in art form of the irrepressible Grandma McGarvey. For more than 30 years, his representation of Jenny Hessell´s accident-prone Grandma has brought untold joy and laughter to children and their parents and grandparents alike.
Trevor was always a gentleman, and a real pleasure to work with. His legacy of children´s books will live on.
Soar free, Trevor. Moe mai ra.
