As a semi-recluse and in shock having just learned, this is my obscenely late condolence to Tracy's family, the Rifles Original 15s and farewell message to a friend, Miss Incredible. A vibrant personality who rose from the shadows of her mentors to lead, inspire and touch the hearts of many. An infectious smile, her laugh, her nature all that stood for LIFE. I played alongside this chick on the rugby fields of Roskill Districts, Ponsonby, Auckland, NZ & College Rifles. The first time we met I knew she was destined for great things. She always looked up to us and wasn't afraid to speak her mind, on and off the field. We respected her for her courage. After rugby our paths crossed on the school rugby fields of Southern Campus (with a very young Valerie), MIT, the Otara Rec Centre, Tamaki Intermediate and more often in Kawakawa, always smiling and still trying to get me into triathlons. Small in stature BUT unmatched in kindness I'll be sure to visit when I travel through Paihia - just for you my young friend...

So sad to hear about Tracy. One of my old Teachers College buddies. Had lots of good fun together. The pair of us limped over the finish line of the Auckland Marathon a few years back. I will miss her infectious laughter and smiley face. Thinking of all Tracy's family and friends at this sad time.

Tracy Lemon. A friend, mentor and an inspiration. I met Tracy ( Chuckie ) playing Rugby in the Auckland team in my early 20's and throughout the rests of our lives our paths have crossed on many occassions, MIT,Southern Cross to name a few. Whenever I caught up with you, you were always the same cheery, straight talking friend I knew. You left many great memories for the students of Southern Cross and you are and will always be spoken of in high regard. Bless you my friend. Arohanui Juls Wharton

So sad to hear this news. U pushed everyone to their very best – there was no such thing as ‘can't'. I got to know the ‘real' you when school had finished. You let me tag along to your camping spot on NY in The Mount with your lovely mum. We had a blast! The memories of school PE are the beep test, block run and the fear of explaining why we didn't have our PE gear. U have left behind a huge legacy at SCC – our teachers had huge influences on our life. Am sad that you have no idea what you meant to us all and how much of an impact you had on our lives ? Thank you for all the kindness you gave me – the iron man clothes and shoes to encourage me to exercise..typical you lol. Much love to your family at this difficult time. Miss you Lemon xx

Tracey Lemon, famous in the hearts and minds of many. I knew Tracy as my first Head of Department at Southern Cross Campus. She inspired and challenged both students and teachers. An excellent role model. She is still a big name in my life and her legacy of beep testing (and outrunning everyone - pre switching to ironman), with the students will live on in my lessons. One of her favourite sayings many years ago.. "never say, would of, should of, could of - You do it now" is something Tracy stood by. An amazing lady - I am very sad to hear of her passing.

I met Tracy at "Outward Bound" a few years back, when we on the same course - and if it hadn't been for her, I would not have made it through. We were like chalk and cheese, but for some reason we "clicked". I feel honoured to have known her. I will miss you mate.

So sad to hear of Tracey's passing. A fun loving and very capable woman. I remember her as a bubbly teacher's college student, full of life and mischief. She went on to become a very successful teacher and an awesome athlete. I feel so sad that Tracey has left us. Always remembered with much love and affection.

I can't believe that this sad and unfortunate death has occured. We had the pleasure of working with Tracy. She was kind, quirky and always had your back if you needed her. Also, being part of her support team at Iron Man 2008 was a highlight for myself. "Ma te atua e manaaki, e tiaki ia koe. Me hoki koe ki nga maungataetae ki te purei i raro i nga whetu, i roto i te ringa o te atua" May you rest in peace and may the lord bless you. May you also, float across mountains, play amoung the stars, under the guidance of the lord our saviour. Gone, but not forgottten. Much love, Rob and Chels
