Tracey POTTINGER Obituary

POTTINGER, Tracey Leigh (nee Thorpe). Unexpectedly on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at home. Dearly loved wife of Chris, beloved mother of Emma, and Skylar. Cherished daughter of Peter (deceased) and Beverley, adored sister and sister-in-law of Wendy and Kimbal, Tony and Raewyn, Simon and Putri, Lucy and Bruce. Much loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Tracey Pottinger, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John would be appreciated and may be made online at stjohn.org.nz. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Tracey will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch, on Sunday, June 8, at 2.00pm.

Dearest Chris, Emma and Skyla
Sending all my love to you at this very sad time as you farewell Tracey. I remember first meeting you at the Selwyn house hockey turf on a wintry Christchurch morning after you had arrived from Wellington. Our family loved staying with you at Akaroa in your cottage and I still have one of the painted rocks from our weekend together in Geraldine. I wish time had been kinder for us all to see more of one another. Sadly I will still be in Australia on Sunday and not able at attend Tracey´s formal farewell. I will be thinking of you all and send all my love always .
