Tony MANDER Obituary

MANDER, Tony (Anthony Reginald) On 13 January 2016, peacefully at Auckland Hospital with his loving family by his side, aged 70 years. Beloved husband of Andy. Loved father of Campbell and Jean, Hayden and Susan, Leigh and Lindsay. Proud Poppa of Jonathan, Sam, Brandon, Jacob, Ben, Danni, and Ethan. Adored brother of Bev, Pamm, and Maree. "Father, husband, awesome policeman, story teller extraordinaire, traveller, collector, baggage handler, conductor, travel guide, compass. God speed on your final journey" Special thanks to Gael, Foster and Garry for their love and support. A celebration of Tony's life will be held at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Wednesday 20 January at 3.00pm, followed by private cremation.

I had a lot to do with Tony when I was Police and Emergency Services reporter for TV1 News. He was an honest cop and a great guy. I'm sorry I lost contact with him. My condolences to his family
