ECKHOFF, Tonia Ruth (nee Glass). Born 31 March 1958. Passed away peacefully at Waikato Hospital on 22 January 2022. Dearest Daughter of Ken (deceased) and Margaret Glass. Loved Wife of Bryan and beloved mother to Alex and Zoe. Treasured Sister of Greg (deceased) and Steven Glass. Due to the current covid red traffic light limits a private funeral will be held on Friday 28th January at 1pm. I am so sorry to hear of Tonia´s passing and my sincere condolences to you both and Tonia´s family. Her funeral service was beautifully done and it was lovely to have the opportunity to watch it online.
My days growing up in Puahue seem so long ago, but I have fond memories. You were always such kind and supportive neighbours. Best wishes Gillian

Such a shock to hear this sad news. Sincere condolences to Tonias family. It was a pleasure to know her when I worked at Ohaupo School. My first thoughts were what a professional and lovely lady. Such charisma and I always loved the smell of Red Door perfume she always wore.

Margaret and Steven, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember Tonia from Puahue primary school. Her teaching had started even then, she gave me a few piano lessons and was very patient and encouraging.

Tonia will be sadly missed from many of the schools she worked in and by many of the children she helped along the way, plus her colleagues. Thankyou Tonia that you were always so warm and friendly, always had a big hug to give and that you were always so kind and caring with a sympathetic ear to give.
