I´ve been part of the Tim Bray Theatre Company since I was eight or nine years old - now I´m thirteen, nearly fourteen - and it´s been one of the most important parts of my life.

I´ve done a bunch of shows over the years, including The Santa Show in 2023, and from the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported.

Tim Bray wasn´t just the founder of a theatre company - he was kind, warm, and full of heart. He made every young actor feel seen and valued.

He´s the reason I started acting. He´s the reason I´m still acting. Tim helped shape who I am today, and I´m so grateful to have grown up with his creativity, care, and belief in us all.

Thank you, Tim. We love you, and we miss you deeply.

Darling , gentle , talented Tim , You have given such joy to so many over the years... all those children introduced to the magic of live theatre ... so many actors learning the unique challenges of an audience full of young children unafraid to interrupt ! Remembered and mourned by the Smart family. We have known the Bray family from before Tim's birth from our shared time in Kaikoura and visits in other locations around New Zealand. Condolences to Tim's immediate and extended family. Will be greatly missed by so many people.

Amazing Tim, such a wonderful, generous man who gave so much to so many. I was lucky enough to be part of Tim's plays in the earliest days of the Central Theatre, fun times! Giving joy and creative confidence to thousands of young people through theatre and through your many classes at TAPAC is the gift that will keep on giving. Tim you changed people's lives for the better , and that change will carry on throughout their lives and on to others. What a hero. Gone too soon that's for sure.

Some of our cast members who worked closely with Tim will be dedicating their performances in Charlotte´s Web on Sunday afternoon to him. Rest in peace Tim knowing that your love of theatre will be strongly held by the people whose lives you have touched.

My sincere condolences to the whànau and friends of a very special and extremely talented human being, who was very committed to the arts. Tim will be remembered for his energy and long term love of children's theatre, his caring of those around him, colleagues and his loved ones. Lots of good memories of a person who will be missed.
