I have just found out that you have passed away. I knew you so many years ago as a young man in Palmerston North. I have very fond memories of you, loved you and your wonderful family. I am so sad right now, for what you still had to give to the world with your work. You will always be in my heart and memory. Jean

I have just been made aware of your passing Tim, I expected you to always be there and am grateful for the times we got together. For picking me up and setting me right , when you saw a light at the end of the tunnel and invested in propelling me forward. I am glad to see you had love in your life right the way through. My heartfelt thoughts are with you Vaj, I wish you well.

Tim, you were one of the most wonderful large souls we have ever met. Your generosity of spirit and love have impacted so many lives - like you have done with ours. Inviting us to your home to see you painting was one of the greatest experience we have ever had. Standing before your finished creations made our spirits sing with joy -as have so many people all over the world. We love you. We are all so much richer for having known you. Fly high Tim. All our love Jim and Raz Gilchrist.

Tim, I remember sitting in the back of your family's Austin Princess, talking and daydreaming about the fabulous lives we were going to have. Val, our heartfelt best wishes to you. You have loved and given strength to a special human being. Kia Kaha.

Amazing Tim - world renown as a Master of Light. He encouraged, taught and inspired so many people every day and made the world a more beautiful place. We will miss his bear hugs and humour. Much loved chum and colleague of Adi Kendall and mentor of Nadine & Stephan Romer. Our hearts go out to his wonderful husband Arju.

Tim was such a lovely man.
His paintings reflected his feelings towards nature.
I visited his gallery a number of times and on meeting him he was charming and graceful.

Dearest Tim,
We feel very privileged to have known you and to share a painters journey with you as this is what drew us together way back in the early 2000's.
Your encouragement was not only in words but also in action. You introduced us to so many of your friends and they too became our friends. Many of our paintings now hang in their homes. Your belief in us inspired us to keep going even when things got tough- as you led by example too during your last 8 extra years - well done dear friend.
Your generosity, kindness and fearlessness are three words that are imbued into our hearts and will always bring us back to you as personified in your spirit.
One day we will meet again - perhaps alongside some of the greats- your favourites like Whistler and ours - perhaps Caravaggio admiring his Cupid's sensuous wings. So now sweet angel fly to the universe and spread those energies far and wide as you shine on forever even brighter in our hearts.
Lots of love always from Grant Kenny and Alexandra Heyes
