Tiare LUND Obituary
LUND, Tiare Mary. Passed away peacefully on Monday 16 February 2026 at Selwyn Village Point Chevalier. Cherished wife of the late Gary Lund. Beloved sister and sister in-law of the late Margaret and the late Jim Baynton (Auckland), the late Rodger and Vivienne Jackson (Christchurch), Annie and Dick Hubert (Blenheim), Helen and Harry Webber (Christchurch), Tony and Shirley Jackson (Palmerston North/Nelson), the late Jean Jackson (Christchurch), Shirley and Tom Fenamor (Hawthorn Australia), and will be missed by all her nieces and nephews. Beloved friend of Susie Boyd Brown and Jenny Lindsay. A memorial service for Tiare will be held on Friday 20 March 2026 at 10.00am at the Purewa Cemetery 100-102 Saint Johns Road, Meadowbank, Auckland.

Happy hockey days in the Wellington YWCA Hockey Club, beginning of the 70s. Tiare was a great team Captain, with the YWCA winning the Wellington Senior Club Competition for 9 years in a row. Also I remember, we had a fabulous trip to Fiji to play hockey, in the heat! Rest In peace Tiare.
