Thomas WILSON Obituary

WILSON, Thomas Munro (Tom). Passed away peacefully in Rotorua Hospital, surrounded by family, on 7th of December 2018, in his 85th year. Dearly loved husband and best mate of Jenny for 62 years. Much loved Dad and father-in- law of Pat and Alan; Robbie and Miria; Robyn and Graham. Beloved Puppa of Nathaniel; Hinerupe and Cody; Nicholas, Anouska and A.J; Steve and Amber; the late Natasha and Lewes. Loved great Puppa of Bonnie and Tayla; Mathew, Nathan and Raiden; Charlie. A service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at The Founders Chapel of Remembrance, 117 Rickit Street, Taupo on Wednesday, the 12th of December 2018 at 2.00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Taupo St John's Ambulance Association, P.O.Box 283 Taupo, would be appreciated, or may be left at the service. All communications to The Wilson Family, C/- P.O. Much loved "almost" brother of Rita Waters (Suester) and great friend of Don Waters. Honorary uncle of Karen Graves (Waters) and Neil Waters.
There is now a "Tom-sized" hole in our lives, but not in our hearts. Larger than life, Tom has always been there for us, to celebrate and commiserate; to laugh and to cry. Underneath it all he was so very kind. And we knew he loved us, despite what he may have said!
His legacy lives on through our indomitable Aunty Jenny; Pat, Robbie, Robyn and families.
Our love to them, always xxx

Uncle Tom has been a part of my life right from the start.
So many memories I'm not sure where to start. A couple that touch my heart was when he came to London and caught up with me a couple of times.
We went to a Chinese restaurant, not for the decor or service but for the food. We sat at a round table with people we didn't know and had a ball.
The second was seeing him and Aunty Jenny in August. It had been a few years (12) but they both got to meet my girls and we had a selfie that he smiled in.
Thank you Uncle Tom for all the memories ... You will be missed.
Aunty Jenny, I will see you next visit xx
