IHIMAERA SMILER, Te Haa o Ruhia - Thomas Smiler Junior. Left us suddenly on 6 September 2010 in his 96th year. Loving son of Pera Puna Hamoa- Thomas Smiler Senior and Teria (nee Pere). Together at last with his devoted and gracious wife Julia (nee Keelan) who passed in January 2010. Handsome and loving father of Puke Peawini (Pixie), Witi, Kararaina (Caroline), Thomas (deceased), Tahui Pare (Polly), Vicki, Derek, Gay and Neil and father in law of Sally (deceased), Jane, Iwi Hoia (deceased), Barney, Dave, Kani, Hore (Larry), Cynthia, Mele, and Julianne.The best papa, great grandpa and great great grandpa to all his mokopuna. Dadisat 11 Haig Street Gisborne. On Wednesday at 12.30PM, there will be a church service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel in Cochrane Street,Gisborne, following which Dad will be at Rongopai Marae,Waituhi. Church services will be at 6.15P Mat Haig Street and Rongopai.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday 11am at Rongopai followed by interment at Tawhiti Kaahu, Waituhi.
