MCGOWAN, Thomas Michael (Mike) Passed peacefully at home on the 13th of December, 2015, after a long battle with cancer fought with courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Leigh. Loved father of Blair, Stacey, Joel and Shanley (deceased). Loved father in law of Garth. Much loved and loving son of the late Roie McGowan. Treasured Gramps of Shinaed, Roisin and Finnian, Sasha, Chloe and Tabitha, and Oscar. Great Gramps to little Ayla. Loved brother and brother in law of David and Leigh, Max (Sydney), Jan and Nic and their families. He will be dearly missed by his four legged companion, Harry. Friend to many. Sleep peacefully my darling. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 7 Glendale Road, Glen Eden, Thursday 17th of December at 11am, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Auckland Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. All communications to the McGowan Family C/- Morrison Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson, 0610.

Dearly loved uncle of Shane and Hean, Thomas, Joseph and Samuel; Garth, Jane- Maree, Luke and Joshua; Heidi and Wayne and Kerry and Shane Bloor. Many happy memories of family times and holidays and most recently in May, a Queenstown holiday with the 3 brothers together.
