Thomas MAY Obituary

MAY, Thomas James (Tom). Passed away on Sunday, 5 February 2023 at home in Glen Innes aged 23. Loving Son of Colin and Alison, Stepson of Libby and Neil, Beloved brother of Bella, Cara, Sean, Erin and Jack, Grandson of Marcia, Lou, Lesley and Bob, Nephew of James, Janet, Shelley and David, Cousin of Charlotte, James, Tara, Jake, Casey, Sophie, Evelyn and Lucy, a thoughtful and caring friend to those who loved him. A talented, kind and brave young man with a great sense of humour, he never gave up and showed us all what true courage looks like. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten. A funeral will be held at All Souls Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Monday 13 February at 2pm. The wearing of odd socks and colourful clothes is most welcome. No flowers please. A koha can be made to either Faith Family Community where Tom gained confidence from the MMA training they provided (email [email protected] for bank details), or to the SPCA (visit spca.nz), because Tom loved animals. Messages to the May family c/- Sibuns Funeral Directors, PO Box 87233, Meadowbank, Auckland 1742.

Even though I don't think I would have seen Tom for maybe a decade or more, I still have very strong memories of him being just the sweetest kid in the neighbourhood. I can't imagine your loss. We are all thinking of you. Mark, Ming, Giverny, India.
