Thomas MALCOLMSON Obituary

MALCOLMSON, Thomas Ian (Tim to many). 18 December 1925 - 21 June 2024. In his 99th year. Son of Rose and Thomas Malcolmson of Tuakau, Otahuhu and Papakura. Brother to Esme, Eleanor, and Joy. Brother-in-law Dave, Mervyn, and Stewart. Uncle to 7 nieces and nephews, great uncle to a few as well. Tradesman, Teacher to hundreds at Whakatane, Wanganui, Wesley College, and St Stephens. Scout master to hundreds, Venturer Scout leader to many, Rowing coach to many, Rowing judge for years. Faithful brother to many brethren in lodges. Amateur pilot and taught a few at the Walsh flying school. Travelled widely. Read widely. Loved westerns and music. Passed away quietly and comfortably ay Summerset down the lane, Hamilton Friday 21 June. Now catching up with old mates and family. Ian requested no funeral. Well repected master at Whanganui Tech. College hostel of 80 boys and 20 girls in the early 50s. Also a good band master and strummer in our Hostel Hot Shots dance band . RIP Tim. Rob Bowater ( Raetihi)
