We started as co-workers, as humans, while the organization changed us to resources, but over that time your companionship and help build indelible memories. From organizing labs and research equipment; through staff/student gatherings that produced the gherkin bottles we still use today; the Friday fish lunches at the SCR that were so relaxing; the delightful evenings that included Brenda, at our favourite restaurant; our travel on the West Coast; our walk through the jungle of the Cardrona River; your essential lessons and help building our stone terraces that we walk on every day; and the many long phone conversations we had after we left Auckland. These memories will live with us forever.

Sleep well, dear friend,

Errol Kelly

Fond memories of Tom in our years together in the Chem Eng department at Auckland University. He was a great guy to work with and will be sorely missed.

Tom and I went to Takapuna Grammar at the same time, we both settled in Castor Bay, and we shared the same birthday. We kept in touch over the years and I have many good memories including spending time at Great Barrier. A good friend.
