The O'REGAN Obituary

O'REGAN, The Honourable Katherine Victoria JP QSO. On Wednesday, 2nd May 2018, Katherine, so full of life, died. Loved wife of Michael Cox, and the late Neil O'Regan and daughter of the late Nettie and Jack Newton of Te Mata. She leaves her children, Andrew and Susan, together with her grandchildren, Ben, Lily, Charlotte, Abby, and Jack together with her step grandchildren, Emily and George. She will also be missed by her son in law John and her daughter in law Michelle. Katherine loved the people she worked with both in Parliament and in her community of Waipa. She was an achiever and will be so sadly missed. Katherine's funeral will be held at St John's Anglican Church, Arawata Street, Te Awamutu on Tuesday, 8th May 2018 at 1pm followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to her favourite organisation, The Te Awamutu Community Health Shuttle, bank account number 06-0317-0944851-00 or these may be left at the service. Katherine will be greatly missed by many. She was a highly talented positive lady and we enjoyed travelling with her and Michael and also visiting with them in New Zealand several years ago.

Katherine was an inspirational woman who gave unstintingly in both her public and private lives. Such wonderful memories of her warmth, intellect and deep care for others. Condolences to Michael and all the family. Cherish the many many happy memories.
