Tessa HAWES Obituary

I had the incredible pleasure of attending university classes with Tessa. She was always the happiest and brightest person in the room especially within our theatre class! I am deeply saddened by the news she has passed and I send all my love to her family and friends during this time x

Tessa and I attended a lot of English and Writing classes together at University. I admired her incredible writing and how seamlessly she weaved her love for horses and riding in her work. I am so sorry to learn that she has passed. I extend my deepest condolences.

I cannot imagine the pain, all I can offer are amazing memories I have shared with Tessa! She was a dear friend to me throughout uni and I was fortunate to have studied with her during teachers college!

A fond memory I have is when she would remind me of the play we did in theatre studies together where I was a "Mad evil scientist" and she was the "Hero" so when ever we would see each other, we greeted each other as "Nemesis"

She was always so encouraging and lovely, her positive energy and outlook on life was always gravitating and I am so grateful to have gotten a chance to be her friend x

I had the pleasure of attending University with Tessa, and she was also a complete bundle of joy. The most authentic, caring, and courageous person in the room. I am devastated to learn that she's passed, and send my deepest sympathies to her family.

A Funeral Service for Tessa will be held at Manukau Memorial Gardens 361 Puhinui Road, Wiri Wednesday 14th February, 1pm

I met Tessa some 15 years ago as she was getting started with her riding in Pukekohe. I still remember how she would make myself and Conor laugh in every tense moment- a truly gorgeous girl that will stay in my thoughts xx

Admired for her passion for horses and the Arts. A fabulous role model, teacher and friend. Her life may have lasted for just a moment, but her memory will make that moment last forever. We first met you as a child through Totara Park Pony Club and saw the magical bond you had with your pony Bertha. You were always a kind, caring, beatiful child and grew into a magnificent young lady. We will miss you Tessa.
