On behalf of Management, Staff and Residents of Pinesong Village, in particular the Outdoor Bowls and Croquet Groups, I offer deepest sympathy to Alvis; Donna; Warren; Arthur; Ray; Michael; and their families on the passing of Terry on Saturday 23 May.

Terry and Alvis arrived at Pinesong in December 2015,where they quickly settled in to their new home, while gradually befriending their immediate neighbours and other residents in the Village.

Terry joined the Bowls Group early in 2016 and almost straight away he displayed his sporting prowess, bubbly personality and his competitive spirit.I decided very quickly that it was far better to be in the same as Terry rather than play against him but that was never possible in the Village as we both had the same grading.

Early in 2017 I joined the Village Croquet Group and soon encouraged Terry to give it a go, a decision I soon regretted as Terry's sporting prowess and competitive spirit came to the fore straight away. Shortly after Terry joined the group Terry won the Triples Trophy and then in 2019 he won the singles trophy, beating a former New Zealand Representative in the final, no mean feat given that he had only been playing Croquet for less than 2 years and having regard to his deteriorating health.

Terry your passing has saddened the hearts of the many staff and residents of Pinesong that you have been associated with in your time at the Village. Always willing to help in any way within the Village and the Blockhouse Bay Bowling Club you will ge fondly remembered by family and friends you have left behind'

Rest in peace dear friend.
