Only today, June 7, did I come across Ted's obituary. He was my lecturer/tutor at Waikato University when I was doing my Guidance and Counselling course, 1988/89. A great teacher and mentor. May he rest in peace.

With heartfelt love and warmest thoughts for you Jane Michael Liz and families with the passing of Ted. And to Anne - with thanks for your care and loving friendship and company Ted so craved and received from you.
´The Waddies´ our dear family friends led by Ted and Diana, were so close to our mum and dad -Daphne and Keith. Dad always referred to Ted as Lord Ted. They both knew to tread carefully in conversation around their very different political and spiritual viewpoints - theirs was a friendship which modeled (to us) respect of difference. It was their shared humor and laughs, conversations about everything else, the love of food and wine and their families first and always. We fondly recall the time Ted stayed in a caravan on our front lawn in Palmerston North while completing study. His season of marathons is another embedded memory - his wiry body health and determination! And the Te Awe Awe house he designed struck us as inspirational. A man of action!
We all loved Ted for his warmth bright spirit ready humor openness intelligence and engagement with people. Thank you, (Lord) Ted. Peace be with you.
Love Wendy Sue and David Caldwell.
