THOMPSON, Te Rikawa Dallas (Eru) (Tawha). Passed away at Auckland Hospital 4 November 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and whanau at Auckland Hospital. Beloved husband of Dot (Dorothy) and loving father of Audrey and Jason Stevens (Australia), Sunnah and Raewyn, JT (Jason), Destry (Australia), and Kalem Loving Koro of Reece, TK (TeRikawa), Gineeva, Kiwi Tamaki, Sunnah, Brenda, Dwain, Maatangahuia, Lincoln, Aroha, and Jaxon (Australia). Beloved twin brother of Tu (TeHaeata) and brother of Ani, Dorothy, Otis, Dan, Jack, Barry, Dean, Pauline, Noel and now joined with his late siblings Kingi, Sam, Sunnah, Snow, Donny, Simon, Tilly, and Peter Eru will be lying in state at Makaurau Marae, 8 Ruaiti Road Ihumatao from 12pm Wednesday 5 November. E te manukura o nga paepaetapu o Taamaki Makaurau me Tainui whaia e te huarahi o nga maatua tupuna kua whakangaro atu ra I mua ia koe noreira e te paapaa haere haere haere atu ra. Funeral service to be held Saturday 8th November 2014 at 11am at Makaurau Marae, followed by burial at Pukaki Urupa. My heart is with you Dorothy and your family, as I heard for the first time on TV one at 5.55am, of the passing of your husband Eru. God be with you. I will always remember the outstanding support Eru provided for the passing of my parents Ponga and Rose Wynyard and my son Marcus McAsey. Thinking of you Dorothy today .Glenn Wynyard and Diane McAsey and ffamily.
