Te PURIRI Obituary

PURIRI, Te Kenana Wiremu Hone Keretene (Wiremu). With great sadness the family announce that after a long and courageous battle, and surrounded by family who loved him, Wiremu passed away in his sleep in the early hours of Saturday, 13th May 2023, aged 68. Laid to rest in the whanau wahitapu at St James, Ngararatunua. Beloved son of Caroline and Hohaia Puriri; brother of Hinemoa, Ema Niurangi, Maea and Wikitoria. Beloved partner of Kovi, and former husband of and close friend Linda; beloved father of children Mihi Amai, Nau, Aria, Elizabeth, Canon and Te Konehu; beloved nephew, cousin and uncle of all the whanau. Moe mai raa.
