CHERRINGTON, Te Paki. Born Ngararatunua. An actor, a writer, a teacher, a social worker in Turangi, Palmerston North and Auckland. 3 August 1942 - 14 September 2013. Passed away suddenly at Willard Rest Home, Palmerston North. Dearly loved father of James, Dale, Lisa and Vaughn - father-in- law of Shirlieanne and Lata. Loved brother of Peter, Lou, Dawn and Vera. Beloved Koro of Jennifer, Grace, Awatea, Luke, Kohau and Joseph. Whanau travelling through to Auckland on Sunday for the night and then on to Ngararatunua on Monday 16 September. Tangi to be held Te at Paea Soldiers' Memorial Marae, Church Road, Ngararatunua and service on Thursday 19 September 2013 at 11am at Ngararatunua. Contact 021-036-0035 for further details. One of the highlights of when I was young, was performing with Paki in Final Curtain with the original young stages (TOYS. It was the first show I had ever done and it was an honour to work with him. he was an absolutely amazing guy, with a wicked sense of humour. He will be missed by all.
