Tarun ASTHANA Obituary

ASTHANA, Tarun. Died at Auckland Hospital on 4th November surrounded by his loving parents, Yvette and Rajiv, his only sister, Tarika, family and friends. A dearly treasured son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend to so many. Aged 25. A Requiem Mass for Tarun will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 260 Richardson Rd, Owairaka on Saturday 9th November 2013 at 12 noon, followed by Private Cremation. Eternal Rest Grant unto him O Lord ! 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Messages to the family can be placed on the online memorial register at: www.heaven address.co.nz

Dear Yvette,
Heartfelt sympathies. Was shocked when I heard the news. The first time I spoke with you was after mass when you had said such a beautiful impromptu prayer for Youth. You and Tarun had come together. I just knew you were a loving and caring mum!
I got to know you thereafter and words cannot express how much I feel for you and your loss. Your faith will be your strength in this time of sorrow.
Thinking and praying for you. Tarun is resting in peace in the arms of the Lord.
Sincerest sympathies to you, Rajiv and Tarika.
Warm regards - Elaine Menezes

Dear Yvette, Rajiv and Tarika,
The pain at Tarun's untimely tragic and sad passing away is unmeasurable. The void created by this immense loss is unfillable. But may you draw your strength from the fact that he is with the Lord in a better place, where there is no pain, and he is watching over you and smiling down at you from there.
Yours in sorrow,
Edwin, Riona, Wynona and Whitney

Dear Yvette, Rajiv & Tarika

Our sincere condolences on the untimely passing away of Tarun. He was at school with my son and they spent many a wonderful years together until this tragedy. God wanted an Angel by his side and Tarun was called. You can draw comfort from the thought that he is watching over you from above. He touched the lives of many and reached out to all. He will be sorely missed and his memories will be treasured for a long time yet. Rest in peace Tarun, Go well... Audrey, Andrew, Tyson and Tanya.

In A World that is “Tarunless”

I will live life to the fullest

Just the way God hoped we would

Just the way I wish I could

See you just once more dear friend

While you say Death's not the end

I'll hold my head up high and walk

Wearing red boots while I rock

You've touched so many hearts with love

But got your call from one above

Who needed you to play along

To Angels who will join in song

Kind and gentle, well mannered and polite,
That was Tarun, full of fun with a zest for life.
Old and young he made them smile
He had a good word for everyone
Where ever he went, he spread the love,
he made a mark on each and every one
He is now in heaven doing the same
With his Heavenly Father, angels and saints.

Dear Yvette, Rajiv and Tarika,
Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are in every thought and prayer.

Sending a light in the darkness to show the way.... Tarun will be remembered for teaching and encouraging our son Ludwig to ride a motorbike (a scooter)- still not happy about this but he was... and his amazing fashion sense.... Commented that he looked the best dressed at Ludwig and Maree's Wedding...particularly loved his pointed shoes.... Definately a bright shining light..... Sending love from the Worrall-Baders and Bader
