Tane WALLIS Obituary

WALLIS, Tane. Born 9 September 1994; died suddenly on Friday 11 July 2025, aged 30, whilst an in- patient at Waitākere Hospital. Beloved son of Rachel, Phil and Cherie; cherished brother of Zen, Jai and Kyra; adored by his cousins, uncles, aunties and the many friends who felt his warmth, compassion and quick sense of humour. Gifted with emotional intelligence, Tane cared deeply for those around him. A deeply spiritual soul??"truly a force of nature ??"he leaves us like the wind, the swell and the light: unseen yet ever-present. He will remain in our hearts forever. A private farewell for family and invited friends will be held. A wider memorial to celebrate Tane's life is planned for October; details will be shared closer to the time. In lieu of flowers, the family invites support for the forthcoming Tane Wallis Waves for Youth Trust; donation details will be announced soon. Haere atu rā, e te rangatira.
