Sydney Simpson Obituary

SIMPSON, Sydney Cyril Hedley (Syd). Reg No R208857 British Merchant Navy, Russian Convoys, WWII, of Bulls. 21 December 1924 - 27 March 2011, suddenly passed away; aged 86. A link in our chain has been broken, but we still hear the words that were spoken, never to be forgotten. Our Syd, dearly loved husband of Melva, loved dad of Corben, Ian and Julie, Andrew and Colleen, Alan and Andrea, and Cathy and Tom, nangdad and poppa to 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A service for Syd will be held at his home 183 Bridge Street, Bulls, on Thursday March 31, 2011 at 2.30pm, private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Marton Order of St John, 403 Wellington Road, Marton would be appreciated and may be left at the service. thought the years god has brought us this far and blessed us with the memories we hold thought the good times and the bad though the happiest times and the sad for you are more than a memeory you are a gift that God gave to me and I thank god with all my heart for the love that you gave and the Grandpa that you are.
looking forward to the years to come we know not who nor what lies ahead but this we do know from our hearts that in life god gave you a special part
