Sybil THACKWELL Obituary

THACKWELL, Sybil Olga. We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sybil Olga Thackwell, who slipped away peacefully on April 1st at the grand old age of 98. She was a beloved mother and mother-in-law to Christine and Peter, Paul and Robyn, Maree and Phil. A much-loved grandmother to Lauren and Adam, Harry and Chloe, Holly and Greg, Isaak and Becky, Ella and Jeremy, and an adored great-grandmother to Luna, Matilda, Otis, Archer and Beau. She also was a cherished resident and TV Star at the Bert Sutcliffe Village, bringing smiles, fun, a yodel or two, and laughter to all who knew her. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone there, especially her carers, for their kindness and love toward Mum in her final years. May she be casting her rod yet once again with our dearly missed father Norman, down the Waimakariri River in their favourite spot. We will miss her zest for life and inspiration immensely.
