Susan was one in a million, and I am grateful to have met her in my year of service in the aged care industry. I remember how ecstatic I was when she was transferred on my list of residents. It was an honour to care for a woman who has done so much for the community, and it was a delight to share in her humour-bluntness and wisdom.
Susan lived her last years, proud and tall! She had everyone´s respect and awe. On the first week of her absence, I can barely get through the afternoon activities without having to hold my tears. Our walking Google and most competitive resident was no more. You are dearly missed, Susan. May your spirit be happy and content.
My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of dear Susan.

My condolence to Susan´s family.
For the last 5 years , every week, I have visited the Special Care Unit at Charles Upham Dementia Unit.
I support a resident residing in the Unit and take her for a hot chocolate up at the Cafe every Thursday morning.
During my visits I have got to know each resident and always acknowledged them by their name.
During this time Susan was one of the dear ladies I acknowledged and had a wee chat with.
I remember fondly one visit she reminded me my name tag was upside down , and another time she stated my cleavage was being exposed when I bent down to say hello.
I will always have very fond memories of Susan with all her books in the basket of her walker.
Susan was a honour to know and I have so much respect and admiration for what she had achieved in her life.
Rest In Peace dear Susan.
I miss seeing you every week.
