Carole SPENCER Obituary

Spencer, Carole Ann. 18 September 1941 - 14 December 2025. Dearly loved Mother of the late Carl Wickens. Carole will be remembered by many as an amazing Business Woman, Restaurateur, Travel Agent and Real Estate salesperson. To be near Carole was to be swept up in her amazing energy. Her infectious laughter, her glorious, bawdy sense of humour, her fabulous sense of style??"particularly at the races and her love of a good drink. All this will be etched into the minds of all who knew her. It was often hard to keep up with Carole, but everyone who tried knows that the good times were always worth the effort. Though she was successful in all her endeavors, Carole's greatest love was her son, Carl, who sadly predeceased her. While the loss of Carole is fresh, there is comfort in knowing they are together again. She was a lover of a day at the races surrounded by her many friends. You will have tales to tell of her exploits, her yarns, her dinner parties, those late roasts and her travels around the world. There will be no service for Carole but we ask that you raise a glass or two, share a story and remember her fondly. Rest in Peace Carole.

I am sorry to read of Carols passing. Many happy times when she worked at TEAL and I was at the ANZ Custom St. And many years of laughs after that.

I remember Carole from my real estate career. I liked her. Carole was an extroverted woman with a great sense of humour, always up for a good time and a party.
She lit up a room when she entered, which usually had us laughing at her latest antics.
I lost touch with her in her later years, but I remember her well. RIP Carole.

I remember Carole and Wolf from the '60s 70era of Restaurants, Racing and the Auckland social scene back then. Carole and Ron were often at the Colony nightclub on a Saturday night. A vibrant Spirit and a kind heart. Fly high Carole.
