Thomas Veale Obituary

Thomas Veale
02/01/1944 - 11/05/2025
Thomas Harvel Veale passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday November 5. Born in 1944, Tom lived a life full of adventure. He was an avid champion of hunting and introduced many of his children and grandchildren to the beauty of the outdoors. To know Tom was to know laughter- his countless stories and jokes about life will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife Verleen, of 53 years, daughters Barbara Dumaine (Brian), Julia Wolverton (Glen) of Cypress, Texas & Lynn Cable of Portland, Texas. He was a beloved grandfather (Pappy) to six grandchildren, Jake Dumaine(Kristen), Shelby Dumaine, Brandon Wolverton, Mitchell Wolverton (Amber), Devon Cable & Kinsley Cable & three great grandchildren, Kasey & Jaeger Dumaine and Liam Wolverton.

Tommy and I were in first grade (Mrs Johnston) at Garden Villas Elementary School , at Hartman Junior High and Jesse H Jones High School together. That was 12 years in the same class or home room together. I also saw him at a few high school reunions (25th I think). He will be missed !

May his family find comfort in remembering the happy times they spent with him and the knowledge he is no longer suffering.

My crazy cousin, whose dad was my favorite uncle. Tom was full of life, and he loved his family (which includes dogs) so very much. Even though he was an Aggie, he was a genius in all other ways. Gig 'em, Coz.
