I worked with Stuart in the Auckland CBD and Albany for many years whilst working at Aderant. I never had the pleasure of seeing Stuart in a play but I can well imagine the presence, passion he would have had on stage. This inevitably transferred into his day to day work, perhaps downplayed somewhat, although some may differ :)
Stuart was one of those characters you never forget. It was with complete utter astonishment that I heard of Stuarts demise!
My deepest condolences to you all, wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain.

Managed to get him in my selfie ;)

Dear Rachel, Laura, Carleena, Ruby and family,
My deepest condolences to you all. I've worked with SARB for 16 of the 24yrs I've known him, Not only have a lost a friend, but someone who helped me grow into the person I am today.
We've all lost something in losing him :(
I have so many memories of the times I have worked with him - he hired me in Wanganui for my 2nd job, persuaded the young me to come to Auckland and hired me for my 3rd job, and put me forward for the job I have now, which I am still in after 16yrs. He was always very supportive, and I'm very thankful for what he has done for me.
Sharing some memories...
- in my first job interview with him, he and the Managing Partner tried to get me to sing the national athem
- always whistling about the office
- always whistled or sung Happy Birthday to himself on his birthday
- pulling little tricks/pranks when I least expected it
- wore his brown leather cowboy hat at casual outside work events, and in the garden at home
- loves a good laugh and has a wicked sense of humour
- he talked about Rachel and Laura, and how proud he was of them
- devoted to his mum and looking after her
- never really losing his accent.
There is no doubt whatsoever, we'll all miss you tremendously SARB...

Stuart was truly one of nature's gentlemen. I only did a couple of plays with him, but he was one of the kindest and easiest people I have ever worked with. My thoughts are with you and the rest of the family, Lisa xx
