Sad to hear of Steve's parting. We were mates in the early days at Otorohanga. I always wanted to catch up at some time. All the best Viv. Kerry McGuffog.

My thoughts and love to all of Steve's family. I went to Wairarapa College with Steve and have great memories of a young man with a great sense of fun and cheekiness. We were in the same year and boarding School and I have nothing but funny memories of a whole 5 yrs of a great friendship. So sad to have read of this tragedy today on Stuff. As I shed a few tears I say to you as a family stay strong there are 100s of people out there with you in spirit and to Steve so long friend another of our College boys taken way to soon
My deepest sympathy Joanne Coppen (née Harriman)
