I met Steve many many years ago in my cousins house in Auckland when I was in NZ. He was lovely. We sat down talking spiritual things, and suddenly we both saw blue lights dancing round our feet. May his dear soul rest in peace and may he be remembered among the righteous of Israel,,I wish his friends family and community long life...Gloria x

I stopped seeing your posts... Then saw you on television for the religious programme that airs on Sundays and was about to send you a message and saw your death notice. Requiescat in pace.

Tipene and especially his whanau. I have just been advised of the passing of this gentle, outrageously fun filled gentle man. His deep seated love of family, especially his beautiful kotiro Ashley but inclusive of all other families too. I will always recall his fascination with numbers and his conversion of our ages on each of our birthdays to days and hours! The joy Tipene brought to our workplace at MOKO Services was contagious and motivating. He will be missed by me and my son Watikena.
Treasured in my heart always.

Tipene, your kindness, compassion, and the deep respect you showed to everyone - friend, colleague, client, or child - will live forever in the memories of those whose lives you touched. You truly were a "light unto the nations", and you enriched all the communities you were part of. You brokered understanding with your good humor and ceaseless encouragement, and you lived your ideals and was an example to us all. Generations of children were drawn to your gentle silliness and adults marveled at your amazing singing voice. I am proud to have been your friend and to have shared meals, conversation, and happy memories with you. I will miss you deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this very difficult time.

Deepest sympathies to Steve's whanau. I met Steve 35 years ago and he's been a dear friend since.I will miss and remember you always for your generosity of spirit, love of people and an incredible ability to make people feel totally seen and important to you. And all the fun times shared in our younger days. Till we met again my dear friend. Rest In Peace. Love, Monique
