Stephen WILLIAMS Obituary

A true gentleman with a keen sharp wit. A colleague for whom his clients came first. I also particularly enjoyed his impersonations of Sir Graham Henry and Steve Hansen. My deepest sympathy to Jeannie and the family. E te rangatira, moe mai ra i roto i to moenga roa.

I was in deep shock when I read the email from NZLS (WBOP). I worked next door to Mr Williams for about wellover 10 years. He was a real gentleman and an honest Steve . He was always keen to help junior colleagues. His humour was remarkable and jokes were always hilarious. He has certainly left an indelible memory on my mind as a colleague. My sincere condolences to Jeannie and family.

To say that Mr Williams was a great help to our family is an understatement by quite a margin. He was generous with his time and selfless with his help. His advice was solid, practical and perfectly pitched. He was an excellent lawyer and a very good man.
He was greatly missed in retirement and will be more so in passing.

It is with great sadness that I read of Steve's passing. I regularly caught up with Steve on our respective lunchtime walks around the city. Always enjoyed the chat. A respected lawyer and genuinely good man. Steve talked often of his family and grandchildren. Sincerest condolences. RIP Steve

Steve was a good bloke. Enjoyed his social cricket and always made time to talk laugh n have a drink

i am very sorry to have heard of
Stephen's death. while death will come to all of us i would have liked Stephen to have enjoyed more time with his family after retiring from the law.
I did enjoy the conversation mostly about rugby that i had from time to time with Stephen.
