Dear Marja, Nick, Andre, Sam & Ben

Our deepest condolences to you all at such a sad time.

Steve was my business partner at Kardon for several years as well as a partner/shareholder in the former Babbage Partners for an equivalent time. I always marveled at his ability to master the technical aspects – anything to do with computers was like water off a ducks back. Also his desire to push the limits of technology - I clearly recall his first GPS survey down the Firth of Thames – whereas the Leica salesman was clearly out of his depth Steve was right in his element, especially so as at the time there was but 3 GPS Units in operation in all of Auckland. As a Surveyor Steve was right at the forefront – always keen to make use of the latest survey tools and methodologies. This is how I will always remember him. Whether at work, at a social event, or on the Golf course Steve was a great friend and colleague and will be sadly missed.
