MCHUGH, Stephen John. With heavy hearts we share that Steve passed away suddenly after a short illness on March 1st 2021, surrounded by his family. Aged 63. Beloved husband and soulmate of Shona. Adored dad of Aimee and Caitlin. Kind friend to their partners Larry and Scott. Dearly loved brother of Marie, Carol, Anne, Andrew and Rosanne, Greg and Shelley, Michael and Michelle, Peter and Stephanie. Brother in law of Grant (deceased) and Sue. Treasured uncle of Emily and Peter, Patrick and John, Aslan and Toni, Catherine and Franco, Joe and Lisa, Charlotte and Andy, Daniel, Natalie, Henry and Rachael, Victoria, Lillian, Dorothy and Henry, Sophie and Emma, Lauren and Cameron. Great uncle of Ben, Jacob, Sophie, Jack, Maggie, Cooper, Liv, Ella and Olive. Son of Andrew and Noelle McHugh (deceased). Son in law of Heather McDonald (deceased). I worked alongside Steve McHugh at the Ministry of Justice Auckland DC.Steve was the Civil court manager.Steve was one of life's good,kind honest men and a great colleague to work alongside.I fondly remember Steve's love of cricket and rugby.Steve had a brilliant well timed sense of humour that lightened many day.
