Stephen LARSEN Obituary

LARSEN, Stephen Karl (Steve). 18 November, 1957 - 22 May, 2024 Beloved son of Tove and Eli(deceased). Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Hannah and Ron, Elsa and Nameer, Hans (deceased) and Hiroko. Special uncle to Amy, Suzanna, Sara, Karam, Kiyoko and Minami. A service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held at 12pm on Wednesday 29 May, 2024 at All Saints Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank. A huge thank you to all the health professionals who cared for Stephen and sincere gratitude to the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, Wellington for giving him hope. I was a friend of Stephen's at Takapuna Grammar School and spent happy times with him and his family at Leigh many times with great memories of fishing and snorkelling . We worked together as apprentice builders one summer for Stephens dad, although he may have built the house faster than without us. I last saw him at Michael Blake's wedding in Wales. But I found out about Stephen's passing by happenstance through another old school friend Justin Williamson, who knew someone who worked with Stephen. I am really saddened to hear of Stephen's passing and I wish his family my sincere condolences.
