Stephen EVERITT Obituary

EVERITT, Stephen Campbell (also known as Stevo, Tipene, Steve Sir, Koro). On Sunday 9th February 2025, Tipene passed away surrounded by whanau, aged 67. He fought bravely against his challenging illness, outlived expectations, showed incredible bravery and carried his cheeky sparkle to the end with the love and support of family and friends, who have been with him "to the max." Too young and vibrant to leave us! Tipene will be in his garage at ?hope on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th February should you want to say goodbye to him personally and offer your support to the whanau. A short service will be held for him on Thursday, 13th February, at 11am at the Whakatane Crematorium, where family and close friends will have seating preference to say farewell. This will be followed by some kai and a celebration at the Whakatane Surf Life Saving Club from 1pm onwards. Everyone is welcome to join us in remembering Tipene and to have an opportunity to share their stories. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Neurological Foundation.

Condolences to Stephen's family. I knew Steve at high school and Murray got to know him at university. We both flatted with him for a year and have warm memories of him. He was such a good guy. He will surely be missed by those who have been close to him in recent years.
