Dear Steve,

You were one of my all-time favourite people. You lit up every room you walked into.

I thought you'd always be in our lives, with you and Aisha growing into old surf dogs and having joint 40ths, 50ths, 60ths and beyond together.

I'm sorry beyond words that's not going to happen, but at the same time I'm so grateful for the part of our lives we all got to share together.

One of my favourite memories is our trip to King Island, when one night me, Aisha, you and Sel all took turns covering rap songs. You chose "Gangsta's Paradise" and acted out the lyrics. When you got to the bit "with money on my mind" you put your forehead to your knee, because it turned out you'd always thought it was "with my knee on my mind". Sel and I laughed so hard we couldn't breathe.

Thank you for all the amazing memories. We'll miss you forever.

From Gin (or Virgil as you liked to tease me)

So sad to see this news. I worked with Stephen in Melbourne and as a fellow kiwi (who was on struggle street at that time), he was always super friendly and lovely. What a huge hole he will leave in the lives of his family and loved ones.

To a gentleman that was one of Our Team.
Stephen, you will always be that beautiful man with the gorgeous smile and a heart that was filled with fun and a person that could make friends with anyone to us.
We had such a great time together, and the photos that we have all looked back on shows the wonderful memories that were created.
You leave us with a sadness that is not understood, but one that has made us reflect on the good times and to remind us to say thank you for touching each of our lives.
Stephen our love is with you and your family.

Rest in Peace. You made everyone's life a little bit more colourful. From bringing home crazy South African's, to surf trips, to concerts and Muriwai parties. Thinking of the Dickerson family and friends at this time xxxx

My deepest sympathies to the family, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Stephen, he was a polite, intelligent and kind person. I still cook the dishes that he prepared as part of our lunch club. This is a big loss to the world he was definitely someone who added light to the world. This is very sad news and all the best to the family during this difficult time.

Dicko, such a wonderful, lovely person everyone will absolutely miss. I was lucky to work along side you twice, at NEXTDC and during your time at Fruition partners, a DXC practice. You brought a little silliness and those exceptionally healthy meals into the office culture. Very tragic and sad to hear this news. On behalf of The DXC family we send love and support to your family and friends affected by your sad and sudden passing. Xxx
