Great fun helping with firework shows. Loved a Diwali one held in the middle of Queen Street. Perfect size and proximity.

Jiggles the clown

Bruce was involved with many different areas in life. Racing, engineering, kids camps, performing, fireworks.
30 years ago I useto help with the fireworks and the camps at Peter Snell. One thing I witnessed personally, but even more so since his passing. He had a genuine care for people. He would often ask how people were going. Genuinely asking people with no ulterior motive. He will be missed, he has left big shoes and a big costume to fill... :)

Farewell Bruce, I was lucky to have been a part of your family, going as far back into the 70's. Bruce, you will be sadly missed, fond memories of when I stayed in the Allan family home with Paul. You have brought joy and memories to many children and adults during your entertainment career. Rest well in spirit. To the Allan family, a big presence has been taken from you all, my thoughts and love are with you all at this sad time.

Our former company (Haztec) spent many years checking and certifying BJ's lovely fireworks displays - and his team members - and what displays they were! Definitely among the best around. BJ loved his fireworks craft, but we never doubted that he loved Bringing Joy (BJ!) to countless kids young and old.
We are saddened to learn of his passing but also thankful that he knew his destination for eternity. Our love and sympathy to you Diana, and to you Mary, and his wider whanau.
Haere, Haere, Haere, old friend.

To the family of BJ. My sincere condolences & sympathy on the passing of BJ. I was the Secretary Manager of Papatoetoe RSA where BJ often performed on our Family Nights quite a few years ago. I also hired him for my 60th birthday this year on 23 March. Regrettably I am unable to attend the funeral as I am currently overseas. May he REST IN PEACE & hopefully he will make them all laugh up there too!!! Kind regards, Stephen L. Walker
