THOMPSON, Leslie Mervyn. Passed away peacefully after a short illness on 22 December 2025, aged 79. Dearly loved husband of Heather. Loved father of Angela and Tracey and loved by Grant Hammond (deceased). Love Grandad of Kat. Forever in our hearts. With special thanks to Harbour Hospice Red Beach for their love and care of Dad, and of us, in this difficult time. A private cremation will be held, to be followed by a memorial service in January. I first met the family at Pine Tree Bend at Western Springs, you & Heather made me feel welcome & that never changed.
During our lifetime, we meet a lot of people. Some are like buses, there'll be another one along soon. Then there are those that, no matter what life serves up, are still the same as when you first met them.
It's much harder to say farewell to them.
It was your turn to make sure there's enough seats for us
