DAVIES, Stan (George Stanley). DFC, NZ427262 RNZAF, WW2, Flight Lieutenant, 75 (NZ) Squadron RAF Bomber Command - Ex POW. After a fast decline, our loved father and husband passed away peacefully on 12 July 2016, aged 93. He spent his last days with people who loved him. Dearly loved husband of Bernice and the late Pat. Much loved Dad and father-in-law of Peter and Raewyn, Jan and Mike (Ashton), Barbara and Jeff (Gerbich). Loved Grandad of Steven, Andrew; Sarah, Rachel; Shaun and Monique. Great Grandad of Lila, Jack; Imogen, Millie, Natalie; Emma, Riley; Erin and Jacob. "We will always miss his laugh". The family would like to thank all the staff at Summerset by the Park for their care and kindness. A service for Stan will be held in the Chapel of Manukau Memorial Gardens, 361 Puhinui Road, Papatoetoe on Saturday 16 July at 2pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Totara Hospice South Auckland, PO Box 75 560, Manurewa, Auckland 2243 would be appreciated or may be left at the service.
